Question / Help Microphone problems

Having trouble getting my mic working *worked before* with Studio, I have set it to listen to make sure the mic is working, and I can hear myself..I turn it off, set the mic line to what my heatset mic is..And nothing,the bar doesn't even move at all

I'm not sure what would be causing that..The headphones work fine, so in my mind, its something with the mic?
 
Yes, that's what it is saying. Perhaps another program has exclusive access to the device, or perhaps Windows permission settings are preventing OBS from accessing it?

Hmm I think I know how to check the exclusive access,but how would I check to see if windows isn't allowing it in OBS?
 
Windows update. This setting is new, and the default for all apps after it was created is to deny access unless explicitly allowed by the user.
